Salon & Appointment Policies

Effective date: October 12, 2026

These policies apply to salon appointments and services from Nora’s Locs & Braids®. They do not govern ordinary online product purchases.

Consultations and deposits

A non-refundable $50 consultation fee is required for an initial consultation and is credited toward the service cost if the appointment is booked. A non-refundable $50 booking deposit is required to reserve an appointment and is applied to the final service cost on the service date.

Cancellation and rescheduling

Call at least 24 hours before the appointment to cancel or reschedule. One reschedule may be accommodated without an additional charge. A second reschedule requires a new $50 booking deposit. No refunds are issued for no-shows, subject to rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

Lateness

If you expect to arrive more than 15 minutes late, call us so we can confirm whether the appointment can continue, must be shortened, or should be rescheduled.

Prices and payment

The remaining balance is due on the service date before the service begins. Accepted payment methods are confirmed during booking. Prices shown online may vary when the requested service, time, hair condition, or materials differ. We will explain and obtain agreement to a material price change before continuing.

Service expectations and concerns

Results and service duration vary with the requested style, hair type, condition, and individual circumstances. Tell the stylist promptly about pain, burning, excessive tension, or another concern. You may ask to pause or stop the service. Raise satisfaction concerns as soon as possible so the salon can assess an appropriate response.

Children

A parent or legal guardian must authorize service for a minor and accompany the child as required by the salon. Drop-offs are not permitted.

Photography

Photography or video for marketing is optional and is not a condition of service. The salon will request separate permission before promotional use. Declining promotional photography will not affect the service.

Health and safety

Please share allergies, sensitivities, scalp concerns, or recent treatments that may affect the requested service. We do not need unrelated medical information. Pets, alcohol, smoking, and illegal drugs are not permitted on the premises. The salon may pause, modify, or refuse a service when reasonably necessary for safety.

Personal information

We collect only information reasonably needed to book and provide the service, communicate with you, and keep required records. See our Privacy Policy for more information.

Service consent

Service-specific information and consent may be presented separately where relevant. A salon service waiver is not part of online product checkout. Marketing and promotional photography permissions remain separate and optional.
